The holidays are a time for generosity, compassion, and coming together as a community. Our Adopt-a-Family program gives you the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of families in need.​

 

How You Can Get Involved:

1. Adopt a Family​

• Ensure a happy holiday for a family that would otherwise not have one! You can "adopt" a family by purchasing gits for each family member from a wish list. The categories are small (2-3 people - approximately $300), medium (4-6 people - approximately $500), or large (7+ people - approximately $750+). Soon after your register, you will be matched with a family of the size you request. Register today!

• Shop & Wrap: You’ll purchase and wrap gifts based on the family’s wishes. Make sure to include the provided tags on your gifts so we know what they are!

• Deliver & Celebrate: Once everything is ready, you’ll drop off the gifts at our Homefull offices on a scheduled day and time at:

2. Christmas Tree Sale

• Purchase your holiday tree at the Gettysburg Grocery (811 South Gettysburg Avenue) and you can even donate one to someone in need. Various species and sizes available. Cut and bailed for you! Sale starts on November 28th daily during store hours (M-F 8am-7pm and Sa-Su 8am-6pm) while supplies last.

3. Stockings of Hope

• Purchase your "stocking" to support the work Homefull does for our most vulnerable neighbors. For just $25 a personalized stocking card will be on display at the Gettysburg Grocery during the holidays. Purchase here - small gifts, big impact!

2. Volunteer and Donate

Not able to adopt a family, but still want to make an impact? There are plenty of other ways to contribute:

• Charitable Investment: You can support Homefull and its mission through a charitable investment. Make the difference you want to see in your community today!

• Volunteer: We’re also looking for volunteers to help with sorting, wrapping, and distributing gifts. Your time and effort will help ensure that the program runs smoothly and that all families receive their gifts.​
