Program Information
Purpose & Alignment with Mission:
The Employee Volunteer Program (EVP) empowers staff to actively contribute to our mission of ending homelessness.
It strengthens organizational capacity while building camaraderie and shared ownership of Homefull’s vision.
Program Goals:
• Increase agency capacity with trusted staff volunteers
• Enhance collaboration across teams
• Promote staff engagement in mission-focused service
• Celebrate outstanding contributions and teamwork
Program Structure:
• Each program team must complete required volunteer hours per quarter.
• Teams may complete hours together or individually.
• Program Managers coordinate team sign-ups and scheduling.
Volunteer Opportunities:
• Grocery: Stocking, meal prep, customer assistance
• Farm: Planting, harvesting, sorting produce
• Donations: Organizing, inventory, community collections
• Programs: Admin support, workshops, job coaching, peer support
• Shelter: Meal service, donation sorting
• Community: Clean-ups, events, outreach, Adopt-a-Family
• Facilities: Maintenance, beautification, Food Hub support
Recognition & Awards:
• Points earned for verified hours and bonuses for teamwork & creativity
• Quarterly Champion Team: Traveling award & newsletter spotlight
• Annual Champion Team: Recognition at retreat & celebratory luncheon
• Individual Spotlight: Staff highlighted on social media & newsletters
